Our top tip for a visit to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is to allow enough time for your visit. One of the most visited free museums in Glasgow, the stunning building has a vast array of art collections and historical objects on display.

Otherwise known as ‘GoMA’ you will find this art museum in the Merchant City area of Glasgow. It has four galleries, a library and coffee shop where you can absorb the art for a few hours and absorb the art on display.

St. Mungo’s Museum is located beside the Provand’s Lordship, known as the oldest house in Glasgow. The museum opened with the intention of asking the public to consider the importance of people of different faiths (and those of none). The museum acknowledges the significant role that religion plays in peoples’ lives worldwide.

A truly spectacular structure, they say it is the place where Glasgow came into being. Dating back to the 1100’s our cathedral must be seen first-hand to appreciate its true beauty. We strongly recommend you prebook your visit.

Most major cities boast about their Botanic Gardens, and Glasgow is no exception. Open every day from 7am until dusk, the Gardens offer a place of respite for a few hours. Admission is free.

Get back to the future with a visit to the Glasgow Science Centre. Families love it for its ability to entertain and educate kids of all ages. With so much to do here, you may find one day is just not enough. Tickets must be booked in advance here.
