Bookings are back with a bang at the Ovo Hydro in 2022 as so many superb acts have been lined up to play here. Current names due to headline include Brian Adams, Diana Ross, Billie Eilish, Westlife and Florence and the Machine!

At last, we can all look forward to Summer Nights at the Iconic Kelvingrove Bandstand. The summer nights programme kicks off with Suzanne Vega on July 30th and ends with Edwyn Collins performing on August 15th, with many other superb acts due to play in between.

Scottish Event Campus (SEC) featuring the SEC Centre – 5 interconnected exhibition & meeting spaces, SEC Armadillo and The OVO Hydro.

A Grade B listed entertainment venue and former cinema, O2 Academy Glasgow is steeping in heritage from live music, cabaret and comedy to club nights.

Hampden Park is one of Glasgow’s largest and most iconic conference, meetings and event venues.

Bellahouston Park
With 169 acres to explore and discover, you’ll enjoy many of the facilities it has to offer including gardens, bowling greens and all-weather pitches for the more energetic activities.

Glasgow Green (Home to TRNSMT)
It is incredible to think that this park is Glasgow’s oldest park that spans 136 acres. Within easy reach of the city centre, it is located on the east side of Glasgow, and is proud of its green flag status, awarded in 2011.

Room 2
One of Glasgow’s newest night time venues, Room 2 has established itself as one of the hottest venues in town. It can easily attract quality international and national acts for Room 2 Dance and Room 2 Live.

La Cheetah Club
La Cheetah Club is currently on the bucket list of places to visit in Glasgow for many people. This intimate venue really does host some of the best in the business. It has already been voted as one of the top 25 Clubs in the UK.

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut
Former alumni of this venue include The Killers, Radiohead and Pulp. Need we say more? It’s a solid choice for night time venues in Glasgow and will not disappoint.

Stereo
Another Renfield Lane institution, the building was designed by Glasgow’s Charles Rennie Mackintosh. You’ll find a nice vibe here as patrons are entertained and fed all under one roof.

The 13th Note
Not always for the faint hearted the 13th Note is all about enjoying sounds, usually punk or acoustic sets, at basement level! Great veggie food is available to buy.

Broadcast
Calling all night owls, this venue is for you. Open until 3AM, every night, its energy is captivating and contagious. Most gigs run from 19.00 to 22.15, and from 23.00 to 03.00hrs the club operates.

Platform
Described as “a vibrant events venue and hospitality brand in the heart of Glasgow city centre” Platform is a little more chilled out than other venues and has some great street food and craft beer to enjoy under the same roof.

The Garage
The Garage packs a lot into its 4 levels of entertainment on Sauchiehall Street. It has 6 rooms open for gigs and club nights. The schedule may vary, check out the listings online.

Mono
One of the smaller night time venues listed, it is perfectly formed and has a loyal customer base! If you want exposure to new and interested artists, and enjoy some great vegan food, head to Mono.

The Old Hairdresser’s
Chock a block with events lined up for the next few months, The Old Hairdressers offers a mixed bag of acts to entertain and delight including stand-up comics, short film screenings and gigs. Located at Renfield Lane it’s very easy to get to from any McQuade properties.

Nice N Sleazy
Everyone loves the name and the venue that is ‘Nice N Sleazy’. We just know it as a great place to go to on 421 Sauchiehall Street. For a no nonsense night of fun, it’s an excellent choice for you and your party to visit.

Established in 1991 in Glasgow and continues to be one of the most popular Irish bars in the city.

Comedy Clubs

Open 7 nights a week for comedy and is the only full-time comedy club in Glasgow. Located in the west end of the city, weekend nights are premium and tend to book up quickly due to limited space.

This comedy club is located inside the north rotunda at entertainment quay, adjacent to the SEC Hydro, Glasgow. They operate a great comedy dinner show and alumni from their early days include Alan Carr and John Bishop, not bad! Disabled access at the venue.

Another comedy club relieved to be back open as we emerge from the restrictions of Covid 19, it’s located in Renfrew Street, Glasgow. Hilarious stand-up comedians perform every weekend a wide range of beverages are available to pre-book at the Glee bar.

THEATRES AND CINEMAS

As the original Citizens Theatre undergoes a major redevelopment, the Citizens Theatre is found presenting some shows at Tramway, found just off Pollokshaws Road. The theatre stepped in history and regularly presents an eclectic mix of contemporary and modern theatre productions.
