If you are a runner, you won’t want to miss this fantastic event in Glasgow later this year. The Great Scottish Run takes place over the weekend of October 1st and 2nd 2022, starting right in the heart of the city centre.

Runners can choose to enter the 10k or half marathon, with both routes starting out at St. Georges Square and finishing at Glasgow Green. The organisers of this year’s event have gone above and beyond to make sure that every participant regardless of age or ability will enjoy the experience and have as safe and inclusive experience on the day. Every kilometre or so runners will pass entertainment zones, and along route entertained by music, and of course will be supported by the friendliest crowds in the world, us Glaswegians.

All runners over the age of 15 can choose to complete the 10k or half marathon on Sunday, October 2nd, while on Saturday, October 1st, the next generation of runners will be ready to race at the junior and mini–Great Scottish Run, as the toddler dash, mini and junior runs kick off. Of course, the distances will be a little kinder on smaller legs with the runs ranging from 70 metres to 2.5k in distance. For more information on how to enter, click here.
