Dandelion Festival at Kelvingrove Park June 2022

JUST ANNOUNCED – Dandelion Festival at Kelvingrove Park June 2022

Hot off the press is the amazing news of a brand new festival coming to Glasgow from 17-19 June 2022. The Dandelion Festival is a free outdoor festival that is part of the Dandelion, a creative programme that has been commissioned by EventScotland and funded via the Scottish Government.

Two festivals will bookend Dandelion in Scotland this year, Glasgow in June, and Inverness in September. The idea of Dandelion is one that follows the arc of the growing season, that being April to September 2022. Festival organisers want to communicate the message of “Sow, Grow and Share” not only food, but also music and ideas from a diverse number of communities.

The weekend is shaping up to provide endless free entertainment and fun that will take over much of Kelvingrove Park. Look out for a 10 metre high pavilion in the park that will form an innovate background, housing plant-life in an awesome giant vertical form. An ideal place to capture lots of INSTA moments!

With so much drive, passion, and vision behind the Dandelion festival we are sure to see it become an annual festival on the Glaswegian Calendar, and look forward to welcoming artists, guests and visitors to the Kelvingrove Hotel for years to come.

The sound of live music will bring Kelvingrove Park to life on Friday and Saturday evening of the festival as artists from Scotland and beyond will perform on two stages, all produced with the help of seasoned festival veterans Celtic Connections and Glasgow life.

With less than 8 weeks until the festival kicks off, a solid line up of amazing artists have been announced to perform including:

Darlingside, Hannah Rarity, Jason Singh, National Youth Pipe Band, Pippa Murphy, Rura, Les Amazones d’Afrique. The current line-up is increasing all the time so that every genre of music can make their mark at Dandelion Festival Glasgow.

Our hotel is already getting booked up with seasonal visitors and tourists for June Dates, so make sure to book early and direct on our website to get the best room rates in a hotel that offers the best location for attending this new festival.
