Tribeca

For a little slice of New York City right here in Glasgow head to Tribeca for brunch. Served all day, you can take your pick from baked eggs, bagels and American-style pancakes with lashings of syrup and bacon. If you like youe coffee strong and your breakfasts hot, this is the place for you.

Singl-End

Housed within the ground floor of a traditional Glasgow tenement, Singl-End has exploded in popularity over recent months, and rightly so. With a few celeb sightings about the place you know you’re in good hands – the only trouble is choosing between Middle Eastern-style egg and halloumi casserole or something sweet from their famous cake table… even better, treat yourself to both.

Stravaigin

Take a short walk through Kelvingrove Park to blow away the cobwebs and you’ll find yourself on Gibson Street, home to much-loved restaurant, Stravaigin. This place is better-known for its nighttime gourmet dishes but don’t underestimate its Sunday brunch. Serving everything from Indonesian fried rice with bacon and king prawns to steamed Shetland mussels or French toast, the venue is the perfect place to people watch with a cup of tea as you take a culinary trip around the globe.

Tapa Bakehouse

If you’re venturing over to the South Side for the day then try a spot of brunch at Tapa. The organic bakehouse and café makes its own loaves each day (including a selection catering for the gluten free foodies out there) and offers full Scottish and Vegetarian breakfasts, served up with what was once called “the best coffee in Glasgow”!

Martha’s

For those of you with a train to catch, waste no time by heading into town early and filling up at Martha’s, a café for busy folk who don’t want to compromise on their healthy eating regime. Fresh, fast and as locally-sourced as it gets, the menu you will have you eager to order as soon as you step through the door.
