Festival Fun

10% Off For Festival Fun

Glasgow is awash with things to do throughout the year but nothing quite gets the locals as excited as the West End Festival and this year we’re getting involved in the good spirit and offering 10% off hotel bookings for Sunday 11th June so you can enjoy the best of it (use promo code FESTIVAL10). For newcomers, the extravaganza takes place in the form of a series of workshops, exhibitions, parties and activities for children throughout the West End of Glasgow and beyond over a period of a month. There’s something for everyone this year including a vintage fair and fashion show, bingo hosted by a much-loved local drag act, a ceilidh in Wellington Church’s crypt and meditation in the Botanic Gardens lead by members of the Bhuddist community.

This cultural free-for-all is a celebration of Glasgow’s diverse people and the cherry on the cake is always the West End Fiesta. A three-day music event set in Kelvingrove Park’s reclaimed bandstand and amphitheater, the Fiesta is kicked off in true style with headliners, Kool & The Gang. Dance the night away with support acts including Nicky Siano, Dopesick Fly and Andrew Divine in the one of the city’s best-loved entertainment venues and one of the most unique open-air spaces in Britain. On Sunday the 11th the closing party boasts an equally impressive line-up with Chic ft. Nile Rogers heading the bill and Odyssey, Federation of the Disco Pimps and Domenic Does Disco getting the party started. A day ticket is just £39.50 and with 10% off at the Kelvingrove Hotel that night to boot, there’ll be something left in the coffers to keep you entertained throughout your stay. Read on to get our lowdown on the best of the fest on the 11th and 12th of June to make the most of your break at our hotel.
